Strengthens Presence across Domestic and US Markets with contracts from JVIS, PERODUA, PROTON

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 April 2025 – MCE Holdings Berhad (MCE) today announced it has secured multiple new contracts with a combined value of approximately RM120.67 million.

The contracts were awarded to MCE’s subsidiaries, with Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad securing projects from JVIS USA LLC (JVIS) and PERODUA, while MCE Hengtuo Sdn Bhd was awarded the contract from PROTON.

These wins reinforce MCE’s position as a trusted supplier of automotive electronics and mechatronic components to leading automakers at home and abroad.

Strengthens US Market Presence with Follow-On Contract from JVIS

MCE continues to gain traction in its push to grow its export market presence, securing a RM69.59 million supply contract with JVIS, a Michigan-based automotive components supplier serving top-tier global carmakers.

The 60-month contract, which follows an earlier engagement, underscores JVIS’s continued trust in MCE as a long-term supplier and will see MCE supplying mechatronic components for a vehicle model in the US market, with production scheduled to commence in the first quarter of the financial year ending 31 July 2027.

Continued Momentum with Leading National Carmakers

The newly secured domestic contracts include with PERODUA comprise multiple projects valued at approximately RM41.33 million for its two upcoming models, an electric vehicle (EV) and an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle.

MCE will supply a range of electronic and mechatronic components, with the EV model running for 36 months starting in Q2 FY2026, and the ICE model over 72 months beginning in Q1 FY2027.

In addition, MCE has secured a 60-month supply contract with PROTON for mechanical and mechatronic parts for a new car model, valued at approximately RM9.75 million. The project will begin in the first quarter of the financial year ending 31 July 2026.

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 MARCH 2025 – MCEHOLDINGS BERHAD (“MCE” or the “Company”), announced its financial results for the second financial quarter ended 31 March 2025 (“2QFY2025“)today. MCE and its subsidiaries (the “MCEGroup”or the “Group”) are engaged in the engineering and manufacturing of automotive electronic and mechatronics systems for local and international markets.

In 2Q FY2025, the Group achieved revenue of RM34.3 million, a 14% decline year-over-year (“YoY”) due to the festive seasons in December and January, which resulted in fewer working days. However, profit after tax and minority interest (“PATAMI”) surged 112% to RM9.6 million after factoring in a gain on the disposal of property. For the six-month cumulative period (“6M FY2025”), the Group achieved revenue of RM75.7 million and net profit of RM14.4 million.

Along with this set of results, the Company declared a first interim dividend amounting 6.0 sen per share, payable on 15 May 2025, which represents an 85% dividend payout ratio for 2Q FY2025. The board has considered the Group’s future cash flow, working capital requirements and capital investment plans to strike a balance between reinvestment for growth and rewarding shareholders.

Moving forward, MCE remains committed to maintaining a healthy dividend payout, aligning shareholder rewards with the Group’s financial performance and capital management priorities.

Major US Contract with JVIS

Through its wholly owned subsidiary Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad, MCE has secured a 60-month contract with JVIS USA LLC (JVIS), a Michigan-based automotive supplier.

The contract, valued at approximately RM22.13 million, will see MCE supplying mechatronic components for a new vehicle model in the US market, with production scheduled to commence in the first quarter of the financial year ending July 31, 2027.

Strategic JV with Eagle Group Unit for Non-Automotive Contract Manufacturing

To drive growth beyond its automotive core, MCE has partnered with Sounding Industries Ltd (SIL), a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Eagle Group, to establish a new joint venture focused on non-automotive contract manufacturing.

Eagle Group is a well-established OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), with over three decades of expertise in consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and precision manufacturing.

The partnership, structured as a 50:50 joint venture through MCE’s wholly owned subsidiary, MCE Ventures Sdn Bhd, will provide contract manufacturing services for a wide range of non-automotive products, including die-cutting machines, precision tools, and packaging solutions for the cosmetics products.

This strategic collaboration leverages MCE’s engineering and manufacturing expertise while expanding its footprint into high-value non-automotive consumer products with export potential, creating new market opportunities and revenue streams.

KUALA LUMPUR, 18 DECEMBER 2024 – MCE HOLDINGS BERHAD (“MCE” or the “Company”), today announced its financial results for the first financial quarter ended 31 October 2024 (“1Q FY2025“). MCE and its subsidiaries (the “MCE Group” or the “Group”) are engaged in the engineering and manufacturing of automotive electronic and mechatronic systems for local and international markets.

In 1Q FY2025, the Group recorded a slight revenue increase to RM41.4 million from RM41.3 million in the same quarter of the previous year (“1Q FY2024”). Profit after tax and minority interest (“PATAMI”) for the quarter remained steady at RM4.8 million compared to 1Q FY2024. Compared to the immediately preceding quarter (“4Q FY2024”), revenue and PATAMI recorded a quarter-on-quarter (“QoQ”) increase of 12% and 17%, respectively.

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 SEPTEMBER 2024 – MCE HOLDINGS BERHAD (“MCE” or the “Company”), has today announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ended 31 July 2024 (“4Q FY2024“). MCE and its subsidiaries (the “MCE Group” or the “Group”) are engaged in the engineering and manufacturing of automotive electronic and mechatronic systems for both the local and international markets.

In 4Q FY2024, the Group posted revenue of RM36.95 million, a slight decline of 2.5% compared to RM37.89 million in the similar quarter of the preceding year (“4Q FY2023”). Despite the marginal drop in revenue, profit after tax and minority interest (“PATAMI”) for the quarter saw a significant jump, increasing by 40.7% year-on-year (“YoY”) to RM4.14 million in 4Q FY2024. This was predominantly attributable to lower direct costs, improved operating efficiencies and a rise in other income. For the full year ended 31 July 2024 (“FY2024“), the Group achieved revenue of RM155.66 million and PATAMI of RM15.96 million, respectively.

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 AUGUST 2024 – MCE Holdings Berhad (“MCE”) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad has secured contracts from PROTON with an approximate value of RM52.13 million to supply automotive electronic and mechatronic components.

The project, which spans 60 months, will see MCE providing parts such as the Front Reading Lamp, Rear Reflector, and Pull Cup Handle Assembly for PROTON vehicles, starting in the first quarter of the financial year ending 31 July 2026.
